These are my dogs. Whatever I have done wrong in my life, probably the dogs were involved in some way.
These are two of my three dogs. The black one is Doc. He is a Belgian Sheepdog, the third that I have had. The other one is Llewis and he is a Basset hound, the 6th of 7 if you do not count the 5 puppies in the one litter. Llewis is one of those. Puppies. Nigel was the other that we kept but he died just before his 9th birthday this past summer.
This is Conley. Conley is not related directly to Llewis and Nigel. Llewis and Nigel were Zelda's children, and Zelda was Mitchell's daughter. Mitchell came to us after Walker died at 2 and before Walker was Warf, the first of the Bassets.
This is Cooper. He was the Belgian I had before I had Doc who is the Belgian I have now. This was one of Cooper's favorite spots and when he began limping when he jumped down I took him in and we found bone cancer in that left front leg, so it came off the next day.
He lived another year before he began getting sick to his stomach and several months later we knew he had gastric cancer and put him down.
This is Quiller, the first Belgian, at Lake Michigan humoring me and nothing else. He did not want to play in the water, he did not want to swim, and he did because I asked him to. Back then, I looked like that.

Baby Mitchell. This is the most published photo I have ever taken.
This is Mitchell on the right, and Zelda, his daughter, on the left.
She became the Mother of Llewis and Nigel and three daughters.
She ruled the house. The only one she couldn't push around was Cooper, although he was very tolerant, now and then she would cross the line and he would let her know.

A Bugle of Bassets. Llewis Conley & Nigel.

International Kennel Club show 2014 I think, maybe 2013.
